so just who does this guy think he is anyway ?. . .

Chris Hillman ...
has been in the business of 3-dimensional & mechanical displays (Club Installations, Haunted Attractions, Themed Environments etc.) for the past 15 years, and the buisness of Illustration / displays / fine-art etc. for 20+ years, and
During which he`s been one of the most prominent display artists on South Street Philadelphia.

The most recent  project (now completed) was the refurbishing of Philadelphia's historical Lit Bros Enchanted Colonial Village at the childrens Please Touch Museum  which required everything from sculpting and casting to mechanics fabrication, design, drafting ...even got to do quite a bit of painting.


WORK EXPERIENCE
PLEASE TOUCH MUSEUM (2001-2006)
Animatronic VIllage Recontruction Project:
Reconstructed Philadelphia's Historical Enchanted Colonial Village.
Rebuilt 8 of 9 buildings to be more rugged, more accessable and hold-up to abuse by multiple 4yr olds,
Custom built new mechanisms for each of the 49 animated figures (created internal cam-mechanisms),
Reconstructed-resculpted about 30 heads, 20 hands, shoes, various building-components, props etc.
Sculpted / Cast newly designed heads and parts for various animated figures.
Also assisted exhibit-dept. in construction and Installation of other various exhibits.
CREATIVE ENGINEERING AND DESIGN, Various Projects (1998-2007)

Design, Construction, Fabrication:
Assisted in design, construction and set-up of various animated and animatronic projects including Corporate Events, Haunted Houses Dark rides etc.
Project Responsibilities included creating Architectural Models, Architectural Drawings, Concept Art, Vacuforming, Scenics, Sculpting, Painting, Installation and more.
DENNIS NOTHAFT ASSOCIATES (Scenics and more) 1998-2000

Crew Position:
Assisted in set-up and tear-down of scenics and animatronic-displays for casino and corporate events..
DYNAMIC IMAGINEERING (Scenics etc. in Baltimore) 1999
Crew Position: (setup for Condom Kingdom)
Assisted in set-up and maintainance of artificial surfaces and installation of over 200 sculpted miniature figures.
TOWER BOOKS / 1992-2001

3D / Mechanical Artist:
Designed and created mechanized window displays and backdrops for live instore signings and promotions, as well as all other art related projects such as advertising design, flyers and signage etc.
TOWER CLASSICS / 1990-1999
3D / Mechanical Artist:
Responsible for creating window displays and backings for live instore performances as well as sale signage, promotions etc.

Both positions inluded creating displays using Radio-control, Motion detectors, Electronic audio systems and specialized lighting and motor systems.

THE BANK (Danceclub)
Created entire "70's theme" floor design and installations, including Partrige Family Bus (back end), Twister game dance floor with 6ft spinner, 10ft Nixon / Charlies Angels mural and approx. 2,300 mounted photographs and record covers under acrylic.
CAROUSEL VILLAGE (Family Shops/ Entertainment etc.)
Sculpted and cast heads and hands for animated-figures in a 30-character childrens walk-through display.
constructed various props and assisted in construction and set-up of lights and display.
PETS PLUS (Trenton)

Created 4 animated oversized animals for display (assisted with themed environment)
SAFER LIFE (Retail)

Christmas Windows -Complete miniature sets including Santas Workshop (With Motorized Elves).
DAN MCNAMARA (Robot for Film Short) (New York Televsion Festival)
Created radio-controlled / puppeted disabled robot in a wheelchair.

Designed and created mechanical system, light system and interior of animated Fortune-Teller Kiosk. (motorized Ghoul)
ANIMALS TO GO (Mascots etc.)

Designed and Sculpted parts for 7ft illuminated robot costume.
COMICS AND MORE
Sculpted 5ft Dragon Head, claws and illuminated eyes.
JAMES SALT-WATER-TAFFY (Atlantic City)
Created themed environment for store
Sculpted 10 panels of oversized candies including sets of 3ft gummi-bears, 2ft lifesavers, mints, 4ft ice-cream cones etc.
CAREFREE CENTER

Created 50ft Childrens Mural for interior of day-care center.
DIGITAL UNDERGROUND
Created 5ft Illuminated 3D Recreations of CD covers for instore displays.
TLA VIDEO
Created Larger Window Displays for 5 of thier locations and the window display for their John Waters - Live Instore Event (included miniature flashing marquee and working movie-camera-gun with sound effects)

Many other freelance projects done over the last 20 years range from displays, animated projects, murals etc.
